Our Story

Federice Estates is built on a decades-long family legacy. It began in 1982 on 16 hectares of state leasehold land in Angoram, where cocoa was originally grown among rubber trees. Over time, cocoa became the family’s anchor crop and in 2018, chocolate-making trials sparked a vision for something greater.

In 2020, that vision materialised into Federice Estates: a company dedicated to transforming PNG’s cocoa industry by building value locally, increasing rural incomes, building a sustainable supply chain and delivering premium cocoa to the world.

Today, we operate a processing facility in Wewak, and a growing network of 3,000 Partner Farmers whose livelihoods are central to our mission.

Our Business

Federice Estates is driven by the vision of founder Emmanuel Federice, whose passion for empowering rural communities has shaped every stage of the company’s growth. His belief in supporting the potential of PNG agriculture and the people who depend on it continues to guide the company’s purpose and partnerships today.

Federice Estate’s exists to bridge the gap between small-hold farmers and global markets through:

  • Transparent & ethical cocoa sourcing

  • Equitable pricing

  • Field extension services

  • High-quality processing

  • Sustainable farming support

  • Reliable export pathways

Our ethos is anchored in integrity and addressing inequality in the cocoa industry by supporting the cocoa farmers at the centre of our business. We are community first and business second.
