Federice Estates is based in Wewak, East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea. We work closely with partner cocoa farmers and communities across the Greater Sepik Region, producing single-origin cocoa beans for domestic and international markets.

We sell bulk cocoa products, including cocoa liquor, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, cocoa nibs, and cocoa husks. We also produce small-batch dark and milk chocolate, available in limited quantities.

Our minimum order quantity is one 20-foot shipping container, approximately 15 metric tonnes of export cocoa, suitable for bulk buyers, food manufacturing and wholesale supply.

“Cacao” and “cocoa” come from the same plant (Theobroma cacao) and are often used interchangeably, but they usually refer to different stages of processing.

Cacao typically refers to:

• The raw fruit and beans harvested from the cacao tree

• Cacao beans that are fermented and dried, but not yet roasted

• Early-stage products like cacao beans or cacao nibs before further processing

Cocoa generally refers to:

• Beans that have been roasted and processed

• Finished or semi-finished products such as cocoa liquor, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, and chocolate

• Ingredients used in food, beverage, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical applications
  

In commercial and international trade, “cocoa” is the standard term used for regulated products and ingredients, regardless of whether the cocoa beans are raw or processed. We use the term cocoa across our site to reflect industry standards as a top cocoa exporter.
